Are you looking for a fast, comfortable, safe way to enjoy radiant, glowing skin? IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy is a technologically advanced and highly effective skin rejuvenation technique. Like lasers, this treatment utilizes the power of light energy. However, it is a broad spectrum light, which is less focused than a laser beam. This makes IPL treatment versatile and gentle.

LimeLight is adjustable to treat a variety of skin concerns, on nearly all skin types. It is the preferred treatment for pigmentation problems.

LimeLight can be used to treat:

  • Telangiectasia (tiny, surface veins)
  • Sun damage
  • Age spots
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Dyschromias
  • Low contrast spots

The staff and the doctor are superb. The service I received was comparable to what one would expect when shopping at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, or Nordstroms. The doctor was thorough in his evaluation and fully explained what I had and the treatment for it. It’s great to know that there are still doctors out there who truly care about their patients. Based on my experience with other skin doctors, I would highly recommend this skin doctor over anyone.

Virtually any part of the body can be treated effectively with LimeLight IPL. Although discoloration is most common on the areas with the most sun exposure, such as the face and arms, these red or brown spots can appear anywhere. With lasers (and even many IPL devices), light brown spots can be difficult to treat due to lack of contrast. LimeLight can effectively treat light or dark, red or brown spots on the skin.

The Procedure

LimeLight is a gentle treatment, and anesthetic is usually unnecessary. You will feel a warming, and some patients report tingling or a mild stinging sensation during treatment. A cooling gel is applied to ensure your comfort. The procedure usually takes less than one hour, though this will vary depending on the size of area to be treated.

There is essentially no downtime associated with IPL treatment. You may notice mild swelling or redness in the treated area, which typically only lasts about a day. You will be able to wear cosmetic products if you wish.

Brown spots will darken at first, and then begin to flake off, and fade away. Red spots usually lighten gradually. Full results develop within one to three weeks of treatment. Depending on your skin condition, several IPL sessions may be needed to achieve optimal results.
